Estate Grown, Biodynamically Farmed, Family Owned

Montinore Estate is a family owned and operated winery in the northern Willamette Valley that produces Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Gewürztraminer and Müller-Thurgau.

Here we make wine only from the grapes we grow. All of our 230 acres of grapes are farmed using the strict methods of Biodynamic farming. In addition, we honor Demeter USA's winemaking standards in our winery practices.

Our mission is to create unique wines that are true to their varietal characteristics as well as to this special corner of the Willamette Valley.

Our tasting room and grounds are open to visitors daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Here, you will have an opportunity to sample our core wines as well as limited bottlings and wines that can only be found in our tasting room.  We welcome your visit.

Our Critic's Top Wine Picks - Nov 2009
Gewürztraminer
One of the best values among Oregon wines, this gewürztraminer conveys the alluring scents that are typical of its variety - cloves, honeysuckle, and spring flowers.

What to Sip - Oct 2009 - 2007 Pinot Gris
This bright Oregon white has delicious, fruity notes of green apple and pear. It's bold enough to stand up to the richness of the salmon without overwhelming the fresh, brisk flavors of lemon and cilantro. Also goes with light seafood, such as sea bass, clams, and shrimp, as well as crisp salads and poached chicken and vegetables. It's also nice for cocktail hour. The clean, dry finish complements cheese and crackers.

2007 Montinore Estate, Willamette Valley Estate Reserve Pinot Noir ($28)Owner Rudy Marchesi has done a remarkable job reinvigorating Montinore since taking over the reins in 2001. A pronounced emphasis on organic and biodynamic farming methods has produced a 2007 reserve pinot noir that should get nothing but better with age. Savory notes of ripe cherry and blackberry, spiced with hints of mild black pepper, make each sip delectable. Dana Tims, The Oregonian, 11/17/08
